A plein air piece painted in Mt.Carmel, Utah looking across the highway at the hay fields. As is often the case, I was drawn to the aerial perspective and contrast between background and foreground in the early morning light. At the time, there was a very large wildfire burning maybe 50 miles away. The smoke from the fire was adding some extra haze, exaggerating the contrast further.
